How Does it Work?

All plans are pre-paid one month in advance and billed with a monthly recurring payment to your credit card. You will be billed every month until you cancel your plan. You can cancel at any time as long as you give us 30 days’ notice. It’s just that simple.

How Do I Decide Which Plan Is Right For Me?

We can help you figure it out. Just ask! Every level offers the essential backup and security you need for your website. On top of the basics, each level offers different features like priority support, monthly reports, and performance optimization. While every plan offers some content updates and support time, the amount of time you receive depends on your plan.

The Web Basic Support plan is best for small websites (less than 10 pages) with minor updates needed per month. Just 15 minutes per month is enough to upload new images or make small copy changes to keep your website fresh.

The Web Extended Support plan is best for sites that have more than 10 pages and need consistent updates or changes. This plan includes two hours of content updates per month.

The Web E-Commerce Plan is great for larger sites that sell products or services. However, it also provides additional monthly support and content updates as well as performance optimization.

How Can I Use the Dedicated Monthly Content Updates and Support Time?

The monthly content updates and support time can be used for a number of things such as updating text and images on your site, adding blog posts, tweaking theme or plugin stylesheets, creating of basic graphics (e.g. buttons, banners, etc.), creating online forms, WordPress Q&A (pick our brain), etc.

Does the Monthly Time Roll Over?

Monthly time does not roll over. It is there to reserve your place in our schedule for dedicated time and resources. We’d like to encourage you to update your website at least once per month — it helps your customers know your business is active and current, and it also helps with behind-the-scenes things like search engine rankings.


What If I Need More Time Than My Plan Allows?

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan. However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case-by-case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at our current support rate of $85/hr.


What Happens If My Website Goes Down, Is Hacked, Breaks, etc.?

The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case your website does get compromised, we will be there every step of the way. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked, but we can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.



My Site Wasn't Built By Gifted Owl, Can I Still Be On One Of Your Support Plans?

Our support plans are designed for websites that we have designed. But we also welcome new and returning clients who are looking for someone to provide dedicated long-term support.

To start, we would like to do an initial Website Evaluation to familiarize ourselves with your setup. Not all developers and designers use the same tools (and not all tools are equal), so we will have to make sure that your website is set up with professional-quality themes and plugins, which can be updated properly. We’ll make a full backup of your site, and then do a thorough review from both the visitor side as well as the WordPress admin side. We will make a list of technical issues that need fixing, software that needs updating, and suggestions for overall improvements in order to proceed on a monthly plan.
