[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7256″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Thanks to City Mom Collective, each owner will have the option of installing a Contributor Resource Page on your Sister Site page. The set-up is simple, and will be explained below, but the real question is. . .what is it for? [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Why Install a Contributor Resource Page?” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23be377e” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Just as site owners and executive team members benefit from our CMC Resources Website, your contributor team can see many of the same benefits.

Your Contributor Training Page can become an all-in-one resource for you to store important information for your site that contributors will need to access frequently and avoid all those unnecessary “How Do I….” emails.

Contributors can easily access and watch  “How to” WordPress videos (easily installed with the Visual Composer Template below!) that explain everything from How to Add An Image to What is a Tag and Category.

Contributors can also access some of those relevant and educational articles featured on CMC Resources Website without you giving them direct access to the RW. Instead of remembering to copy and save articles as a PDF and then sharing with your team, the Contributor Resource Page template comes preloaded with helpful articles directly related to Contributors and their roles. Articles include “Do’s and Don’t’s of Images”, “10 Blogging Mistakes You Might be Making,” “Copyright: When and How to Cite Sources”, and more!

In addition to the Resource Page being a learning experience, the Resource Page is an easy place to drop those tools to help make articles and graphics a success. The Resource Page can house all your direct links to social media networks, your site logos in various formats, and branding guidelines. Our recommendation :: When hosting your first contributor training video or in-person meeting, share the Welcome Video from Steph Flies as a way to share our network’s vision and mission.

Go over the Contributor Resource Page as their “go to” spot for any and almost all questions they may have as they get started. If they’re unfamiliar with WordPress, utilize some of the WordPress Training Videos to explain how to perform a few WordPress functions and allow them to explore the other videos in their own time.

By introducing this resource from the beginning, they’ll be trained to look on this resource first before asking you questions they can easily find the answer to. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Introducing Your Resource Page Post-Launch” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23be377e” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]If you haven’t had a place to put all of the articles, posts, and information you’ve shared with your team, introduce their new Resource Page as an easily place to find all of that data and as a refresher for topics they may have already been exposed to.

Just as the Resource Website for our site owners was a bit of a learning curve to get used to, your contributors may have the same reaction.

Remember to continually add to this Resource Page if you want them to become adjusted to using it frequently. When questions are asked, make sure to direct them to the spot on the Resource Page to find the answers. Continue to share educational and helpful resources on your Facebook Group page (or other forms of communication), but remember to remind them that those articles will be available for future reference on your Resource Page.
