Updating your Social Media Handles

If you’ve changed/renamed your social networks you’ll need to update those on your site. If you need to change your social media handles on your site there are three locations you’ll need to make the changes.

Update the Top Menu Bar and Footer Menu

Footer Menu

For the Top Menu and the Footer Menu

  1. Go to yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=td_theme_panel
  2. In the Theme Panel scroll down to select Social Networks
  3. Enter your new social URLs and select Save at the bottom of the screen

Posts/Interior Pages

  1. Go to WordPress and Login
  2. Go to Appearance in the left-hand menu.
  3. Select Widgets
  4. Select Tag Div Social Counter
  6. It will expand the options.
  7. Enter your social IDs.
  8. Scroll down and select Save.

 

Homepage Sidebar

  1. Logged in to your site’s backend go to your home page.
  2. Select Edit with TD Composer on your top black menu bar.
  3. Scroll down and select Follow Us on your homepage.
  4. A menu will appear on the left side.
  6. Update your social handles in the menu on the left side of the page.
  7. Choose the Floppy Disk icon at the top of that box to Save Changes.

Sharing Option within your Posts

  1. In your WordPress backend
  2. Go to the Theme Panel
  3. Post settings
  4. Sharing
  5. Twitter username
